Trimming all the early gains, Indian benchmark indices slipped in red during the noon trading session amid profit booking in index heavyweights.

State Bank of India (SBI) share price rose more than 2 percent on January 13 after FPIs raised stake in the company in the quarter ended December 2020.

At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 49467.73 down by -49.38 points or by -0.1 % and then NSE Nifty was at 14558.55 down by -4.9 points or by -0.03 %. Sensex touched intraday high of 49795.19 and intraday low of 49351.34 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 14653.35 and intraday low of 14526.1

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 829.00,+6.28%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 585.95,+3.57%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 106.40,+2.85%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 210.90,+2.18%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 947.25,+2.12%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 2684.80,-2.23%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2694.20,-1.57%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 4972.10,-1.41%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 8846.00,-1.34%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1879.70,-1.29%), among others.

Among the sectors, Realty index was at 2720.29 up by 44.84 points or by 1.68%. DLF Ltd. (Rs. 286.85,+7.21%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 486.90,+1.96%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 279.00,+1.57%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 299.95,+1.06%), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd. (Rs. 85.70,+0.47%),.

CDS index was at 27288.96 down by -104.13 points or by -0.38%. Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd. (Rs. 14550.00,-3.37%), Amber Enterprises India Ltd. (Rs. 2514.25,-2.53%), VIP Industries Ltd. The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3244 , shares advanced were 1356 while 1709 shares declined and 179 were unchanged.
